BATES Sketch By SUEME

Sueme Writes: I just finished the Bates exchange sketch that we talked about. I did the sketch really big its about 38" x 14" in size. I found it to be a bit tricky when sketching it out with pencil but inking with a sharpie was really fun and seemed easier than any of my previous graffiti sketches. let me know if you need a higher res. file. I have attached two pieces, one is just the sketch by itself, and the second one I added a background to it really quickly in photoshop to separate the piece from its white background(its a bit easier to read whats going on) anyway let me know what you think. peace!

Esteme-Stae2

Yo Stae2,
Here are some extremely rough ideas/Starting points. Some are revisions of others, some lost a little funk while getting revised, some might look fresher with a dimension instead of a shadow, some I was just having fun with etc... Anyway, I tried to give you variety as you've been posting a lot of gems on here. I'm curious to see what you think...

Big Respect,
Esteme

ENSOE/RIME EXCHANGE

I had a chance to paint a sketch that Joe drew for me when he was in vancouver. I wanted to stick with the loose letter body and creative color composition he's been rocking recently, so I chose to fill the piece with roller buff and treat it more as if it was part of the wall, rather than something I was painting on top of a wall. At first it was harder than I thought, but once I got the hang of it, I found the style very forgiving and fun to paint. I would have liked to spend some more time on details of the piece, but we got spooked a few times by train workers and had to leave..
Thanks for the sketch Joe! Would love to hear some feedback .
