Group Collaboration In LA

Here is a recent wall I painted in Los Angeles with Ewok & Pose. For this wall we decided to take The Exchange project in a slightly different direction. We showed up to the wall all late and with no sketches, our plan was to bounce around and contribute a bit to each piece on the wall.

We decided that each of us will sketch two letters of each others name. What I mean is:

For EWOK - I painted the initial sketch of th E & W, then POSE sketched his O & K

For POSE - EWOK sketched the P & O. Afterward, I stepped in fucking around with my left hand (bad hand), setting out to do the goofiest sketch possible.

It ended up looking really cool in my opinion, but wasn't right for the wall. So I buffed it our and resketched the S & E

For RIME - POSe sketched the R & I, followed by EWOK's rough sketch of the M & E

Overall this was an interesting experience. It's been a while since I tried painting a capital "I". If you look clos you can see how each of us changed what we were given and in that process, made it our own... Word-

I really thought all the dope sketches Poet had done deserved a better representation than the last one i did so i picked one I liked and tried to keep the funk alive!!

Serval_Stae2Exchange

Yo Serval!
I was very amped to get into this sketch, thanks a many for the outline!
I had held onto this sketch for a minute; I had the idea of working on the "Mosaic/Stained Glass" concept when I first saw the sketch, so I went for it, and I'm generally pleased with the outcome.
Looking back though, few things I would have done differently would of been: to have match the intensity of the tweeked thick to thin movement on the letters and extensions, especially on the S and the arrows, and also to have included the extension above the T (oops),
lastly to get better flick...colors/lighting suck

Thanks again for that raw uncut flavor!, hope I did this a little justice,
I have a bunch of outlines I need to scan for you...so be on the lookout!

peace

ROIDS SKETCHES BY ENSOE

Finally managed to get these inked and uploaded. Here ya go Roids! The first one is a I dunno "Contemporary geometric style?" Something I thought you could play around with. The 3d is only implied so by any means feel free to alter it. The second one is more of a concept peice I drew when I was nice and toasted...I gotta give my girl OROE credit for the alien abduction "I" idea . I wouldnt expect you to re create this if you choose to paint it, but use it as an impression or Idea for something of yours. Ultimately its up to you..Cant wait to see what you come up with!?!!?

TABOO paints sketch from RUETS

YO Ruets,
Here is my painted version of your outline for me. I actually redrew this and added my own flavor to it, but ultimately decided to stick to the given sketch (for the most part). Hope you like it. I enjoyed painting this one.

TABOO paints sketch from POET

YO Poet
I chose to paint this outline because i think it was well suited for the wall. I liked the "over crowded" look of the piece. I added some Tabooism to the letters, but kept a overall shape of the piece and the crowed letter structure. Hope you like.

KAPUT PAINTS CECS OUTLINES

Yo Cecster! i managed to do a couple of your flave drawings. on the train, i thought this outline would be the best out of the bunch. i could not reach high enough to do the arrow on top of the P. had to chop it....haha! the angle of the P was inverted by mistake also (oops). on the second sketch the u turned out a little different but the rest worked out i think. i had a bit of room left for a goofy looking dude as well. i'm gonna do a couple more of your joints for sure! enjoy!!

POSE SKETCH'S BY ENSOE

Here's a couple for chi-town's finest pose.. Ahuge inspiration to me since the day I picked up a can over a decade ago. So this is a real honour.. The first one is a simpler older sketch I did, and the second one is some new skool funk I think you'd have fun with... Kill it homie!!!
